Understanding the Window of Implantation (WOI)

The window of implantation (WOI) is the specific time frame when the endometrium is most receptive to embryo implantation. Most women’s WOI falls within a standard range. However, about 20% of women under age 38 and 30% of women over age 38 have a displaced WOI.

What is ora®? Enhancing Implantation Success Rate with Non-Invasive Testing

ora® is a non-invasive endometrial receptivity assay test designed to identify the optimal window of implantation (WOI) for embryo transfer during IVF treatment.

For those undergoing IVF treatment, accurately identifying your individual WOI is critical to improving success rates. Personalized assessment of endometrial receptivity allows clinicians to optimize embryo transfer timing and increase the likelihood of implantation and pregnancy.

ora® stands out as the only non-invasive test of its type, requiring only a simple blood draw, instead of an endometrial biopsy.

Who Should Use ora® to Improve Frozen Embryo Transfer Success Rates?

A History of Failed Implantation or Miscarriage

Advanced Age

High or Low BMI

Low AMH

Few High-quality Embryos Available

It is particularly beneficial for those who have experienced challenges in achieving successful IVF outcomes. For these patient groups, ora® leads to a higher implantation success rate.

For first-time IVF patients, we recommend ora® Reserve, a sample storage service that makes future ora® testing, if required, more efficient and cost-effective.

What is a Mock Cycle and Its Role in Determining Your Window of Implantation?

A mock cycle is a simulated IVF cycle used to prepare the endometrium and collect a sample for endometrial receptivity testing. It helps identify the optimal WOI without transferring an embryo, allowing for precise timing in future IVF cycles.

Patients using ora® Reserve have their sample collected during a previous complete IVF cycle and do not require a mock cycle.

Is ora® Reserve necessary to do ora® testing?

No, ora® Reserve is an optional sample storage service to enhance the efficiency of ora® on a future cycle. It is intended primarily for first-time IVF patients. Any IVF patient may choose to go directly to ora® testing by undergoing a mock cycle.
